First Tooth Lost

This morning Ben yelled across the house with that panicked voice that most moms recognize as "come here RIGHT AWAY".  I thought something terribly wrong had happened but thankfully it was only his first tooth - it finally fell out!

Best Friends

Ben's best friend Tuan slept over last night.  We stopped at a local pho shop for some dinner on the way home from picking him up.  Crispy spring rolls, pho and fresh limeade.  YUMMY!

Middle Eastern man surrounded by bags of rice: Would you like to buy some rice?
Young woman: No, thanks.
Middle Eastern man: But it's good rice. Good strong rice.
Young woman: Oh, I've got plenty of rice at home.
Middle Eastern man: But your rice no good. This rice much better.
Woman (offended, screaming): You don't know what kind of rice I eat!
(long pause)
Middle Eastern man, sheepishly: Only $20.

Boxing Day?

Ben got some boxing gloves for Christmas. My only hope is that he doesn't use his sister as a punching bag.
